Footage showing Ruben Amorim interacting with several Manchester United players, including Harry Amass, has sparked debate over whether the Portuguese manager really lost the dressing room, with some players embracing him while others appeared to keep their distance.
Amorim came face-to-face with several of his former Manchester United players after bringing his new club, AC Milan, to Old Trafford during their pre-season tour.

The Portuguese coach endured a difficult spell in charge at Manchester United before being dismissed last season and replaced by former player and club legend Michael Carrick.
Towards the end of his time at the club, reports emerged suggesting that Amorim had lost the support of the dressing room, often regarded as a major sign that a manager is on the verge of being sacked.
Amass was one of the players reportedly believed to have fallen out of favour with Amorim after being sent on loan to Sheffield Wednesday by the Portuguese manager.

Amorim then appeared to take aim at the 19-year-old following a series of poor results, saying: “Amass is struggling in the Championship,” when asked why young players such as the then 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo, Chido Obi and Toby Collyer were not being given more opportunities.
However, after returning to Old Trafford with AC Milan and leaving with a 4-2 victory, footage of Amorim’s exchanges with Amass and several other Manchester United players has led some fans to question whether the claims that he had lost the dressing room were overstated.
There were, however, three notable players who appeared to snub the Portuguese coach, adding another layer to the situation.
Amass had previously responded to Amorim’s comments through an Instagram story, posting a picture of himself holding Sheffield Wednesday’s Player of the Month award in an apparent response to the claim that he was “struggling.”
The incident divided supporters, with some criticising Amorim for publicly calling out the youngster, while others argued that Amass’ response reflected a wider pattern of Manchester United academy graduates challenging authority.
This time, however, cameras captured Amorim and Amass shaking hands and embracing after Manchester United’s 4-2 defeat to his Serie A side, with several other former players also warmly greeting their ex-manager.
Matheus Cunha, Lisandro Martinez and Leny Yoro were among those gathered around Amorim, with each player appearing to share a handshake and embrace with their former boss.
However, Marcus Rashford, Diogo Dalot and Mainoo appeared to be among the players who kept their distance from the Portuguese coach and did not join the group exchanging hugs.
Amorim, who managed just three victories in his final 11 Premier League matches with Manchester United before being dismissed, watched his AC Milan side secure a convincing victory over his former club.
The Serie A outfit twice came from behind before eventually winning 4-2, while also recording more shots and passes, requiring fewer saves from their goalkeeper and producing a higher xG than the Red Devils.
Goncalo Ramos and Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored to complete the comeback, with their goals arriving shortly before and after the 70th minute as both teams made a combined 15 substitutions.
The footage of Amorim reconnecting with his former players, alongside AC Milan’s impressive victory, could suggest that his Manchester United spell may not have been entirely the individual failure some supporters have portrayed it as since Carrick took charge.
However, the apparent snubs from Rashford, Dalot and Mainoo have ensured that questions over Amorim’s relationship with certain members of the dressing room remain.
