VIDEO: Bellingham dubbed ‘Zidane’s regen’ after ludicrous skill bamboozles Jesus

Jude Bellingham received widespread admiration from fans for his outstanding contribution to Real Madrid’s late winning goal against Barcelona.

The 23-year-old England international delivered an impressive performance as the two fierce rivals met in Catalonia on Sunday evening.

Kylian Mbappe put Real ahead in the first half after Gerard Martin’s poor clearance struck the French forward before bouncing into the net.

Barcelona responded in the 60th minute when Raphinha fired a powerful left-footed effort past the goalkeeper after Pedri picked him out with an excellent pass.

However, Bellingham produced a moment of magic in the 87th minute while surrounded by Barcelona players inside his own half.

The midfielder used his quick footwork to escape Gabriel Jesus’ initial challenge before executing a clever spin that left the former Arsenal forward bewildered and allowed him to release the ball to Eduardo Camavinga.

Camavinga then found Arda Guler before bursting forward down the flank.

Guler returned the ball to the French midfielder, who slipped past Joan Garcia and delivered a square pass to his compatriot Mbappe.

The prolific striker made no mistake, calmly guiding the ball into the unguarded net to secure the victory for Real Madrid.

Mbappe’s superb finish sent Jose Mourinho into celebration, with the 63-year-old recreating a classic moment by sliding on his knees inside the technical area.

Football supporters watching the encounter were especially impressed by Bellingham’s involvement in the decisive move.

One fan wrote on social media: “JUDE ARTISTA BELLINGHAM”.

Another enthusiastically commented: “Jude Bellingham is Zidane’s regen.”

A third fan reacted: “Jude Bellingham. A complete joke for that goal, so good”.

Someone else added: “Witness greatness from Jude Bellingham”.

The victory moved Real Madrid to within three points of Barcelona at the summit of LaLiga.

However, they remain one point behind city rivals Atletico Madrid, who secured a 1-0 victory over Deportivo on Saturday under Diego Simeone.

Reflecting on his team’s important triumph, Mourinho said: “It was a great match, a high-level game, one that surely everyone who loves football stopped to watch, with two teams that played to win.

“In our case, I’m more concerned with speaking about my own team, but the lads played an extraordinary match, very organised, focused.

“Going out with nine points is psychologically tough, going out with six is balanced… and going out with three is different. It’s also important because we won comfortably and deservedly.

“If we win today but lose at Racing Santander it doesn’t count, because Madrid doesn’t play to win at the Camp Nou, they play to win the championship.”

Real Madrid, who defeated Barcelona despite the absence of suspended Brazilian star Vinicius Jr, will be back in action on Sunday when they travel to El Sardinero to face Racing Santander.
