Manchester United supporters made their frustration unmistakably clear following their 2-0 loss to Hull City in their opening Premier League fixture of the season.
The newly-promoted Tigers struck twice inside the first 38 minutes, with Semi Ajayi and Nobel Mendy finding the net to give Hull a dream return to the top flight.

United looked vulnerable whenever Hull threatened from the air, with both goals arriving from set-piece situations.
Michael Carrick’s team offered very little going forward during the opening period, with Patrick Dorgu’s effort on the turn that drifted wide of the post standing out as their clearest chance.
The visitors were unable to change the outcome after the break, suffering just their third defeat in 18 matches since Carrick began his latest spell in charge.

When the final whistle was blown, the United supporters who had travelled to Hull made their feelings known.
Daily Mail reporter Chris Wheeler captured the United players heading towards the away section to applaud the travelling supporters, only to discover that much of the section had already emptied.
A PA announcement during the second half confirming that all trains back to Manchester had been cancelled may have contributed to the early departures, although sizeable sections of the away end were still vacant, with some supporters leaving while the United players applauded them.
Speaking to TNT Sports reporter Jules Breach after the match, Carrick admitted there were ‘bits to improve on’ within his team.
“It was never going to be perfect today, but I think going behind and giving ourselves a lot to do makes it more difficult,” he said.
“It was probably one of those games with a newly-promoted team at home. You can’t give them much, they’ve got a lot to hold on to.
“After that, we had moments, we had opportunities, we just didn’t have that spark to put the chances away or create any more. So yeah, we’re desperately disappointed with the result today.
“We’ll keep improving through the week, we’ll keep getting stronger as a group. That will come. Today, we can’t ignore it and we’ve got a lot to learn from it, but we will do.”
“Two goals conceded anyway is frustrating,” he replied, when asked if he was particularly disappointed by conceding two goals from set pieces. “But for sure, set plays… we’ve been pretty good at it, really, over a period of time, and that decided the game today.
“Of course, there’s things to improve on. That’s one of them from today, which is pretty obvious to say, but in general we’ve been pretty good. One game doesn’t change the direction of everything, we know that, but we’ve still got to be aware of what we need to get better at.
“It’s one game – it’s the first game of the season. So it’s disappointing, and it hurts, of course it does. But it’s one game, so it doesn’t change the direction all of a sudden, or the whole course that the team’s going in or the football club. So we stay calm, stay in the bubble, and we’ll go again next week.”
