Watch: Worrying footage emerges of Bukayo Saka leaving stadium after injury vs Bayern

Concerning footage of Bukayo Saka has surfaced following Arsenal’s encounter with Bayern Munich.

The Arsenal winger appeared to pick up a muscle injury during the opening stages of the Champions League showdown at the Allianz Arena.

Saka, 25, was forced off the pitch and replaced by Eberechi Eze, who went on to score for the Gunners.

Manager Mikel Arteta described the injury, which occurred off the ball, as “concerning”, raising fears that Arsenal could suffer a significant setback.

SunSport captured footage of Saka leaving the Allianz Arena, and the images are unlikely to ease the concerns of Arsenal supporters.

The England international appeared stiff and downcast as he walked out of the stadium with his hood pulled up and his head lowered.

Nevertheless, he was able to walk on his own without requiring crutches or assistance from anyone.

Eze stepped up in Saka’s absence, making an immediate impact by giving Arsenal the lead in the 25th minute.

Bayern responded through Harry Kane, who provided the assist for Alphonso Davies to level the score before scoring a penalty himself.

However, Arsenal managed to secure a share of the points after Declan Rice found the net in the 82nd minute.

Speaking after the match, Arteta said: “They \(medical staff\) are a bit concerned.

“A player who has to come off with a really sharp pain is never good news but we have to wait and see.”

Arsenal legend Martin Keown, who was covering the match for TNT Sports, also expressed concerns about the severity of the injury.

He said: “You hope it’s not serious, but I fear that the thigh muscle has gone.

“It could be a big problem. It’s worrying.

“Arsenal have some big games coming up and you just want Saka back as soon as possible.”

Arsenal will return to Premier League action on Saturday when they welcome Everton to the Emirates Stadium.
