Kobbie Mainoo and Leny Yoro have both backed Patrick Dorgu to hit new heights for Manchester United next season.
The 21-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign at Old Trafford, registering four goals and four assists while showcasing his ability to perform in multiple positions.

The Denmark international was deployed at left wing-back, left midfield, left wing and right wing under both Ruben Amorim and Michael Carrick.
He ended the season in style, scoring and assisting in United’s convincing 3-0 win over Brighton.
With Dorgu expected to be a key figure in Carrick’s plans moving forward, his team-mates were asked to name the player most likely to shine for United next season.
Mainoo immediately pointed to Dorgu, saying: “I’d say Patrick [Dorgu]. I’d say he can go up another level again. In training, some of the stuff he’s doing, you can see him really pushing.”
Yoro also praised the youngster’s versatility, adding: “Sometimes he plays winger as well, I think in this position, [he’s] really dangerous for the opponent.
“He gives a lot to the team as well.”
Dorgu’s second outing on the left wing this season came in the standout victory over Manchester City, where he scored in a 2-0 triumph.
His effectiveness in several positions prompted Carrick to admit after the match that he did not want to restrict the youngster to one specific role.
Speaking in January, the United boss said: “I think he was immense last week, his work rate and the way he played the position, but the threat, constant threat.
“And the goal was the obvious one but I think his general play was something we were really pleased about. I wouldn’t want to pin him down [to a position], to be honest. I think he can do both, but certainly attacking-wise in that threat, he was pretty impressive last week.”
Following the victory over Brighton, Dorgu also spoke about Carrick’s appointment as permanent manager, revealing the squad’s excitement about continuing under the former United midfielder.
The Dane said: “Yeah, we’re all really happy. You can see the impact from him since the first day he came, so it’s good to have him and hopefully we’ll do even better next season. Obviously, the formation has changed, and the start place is a bit different to the old coach.
“So I think we’re all just trying to improve and game by game we’re getting even better. So yeah, it’s good to have him and his ideas and everything, so we’re all excited for the next season.”
Dorgu is now enjoying a longer summer break after Denmark missed out on qualification for the 2026 World Cup. The upcoming campaign will also mark the first time in his career that he competes in the Champions League.
