Manchester United star Luke Shaw has sparked outrage among fans after escaping a red card for forcefully shoving Tottenham’s Rodrigo Bentancur to the ground.
Shaw reacted furiously following a reckless challenge from the Uruguayan midfielder, pushing him to the floor in anger.

Bentancur quickly got back to his feet and confronted Shaw, leaning forward with his head towards the United defender.
The incident resulted in Bentancur being sent off, while Shaw received only a yellow card.
However, several supporters were left questioning why the Englishman was not also dismissed, given the apparent force behind his shove.

One fan wrote on X: “This is the second time Manchester United have gotten away with this already this season. Luke Shaw absolutely threw Bentancur to the ground, where is his red card?”
Another supporter commented: “So the shove from Shaw at speed was what? Nothing? Either both get red or both get yellow.”
A third fan referenced FA rules, writing: “two hand push to the chest off the ball is a straight red card” but Shaw gets just a yellow. And he instigated everything.”
A fourth supporter also expressed frustration, posting: “The fact that you can push a man to the ground with the force that Shaw did and not get a red but because you lean in your head that’s an automatic red is garbage.”
