Chelsea could be set to part ways with another full-back following Real Madrid’s £52m capture of Marc Cucurella.
Cucurella was among several Chelsea players tipped for exits this summer after a hugely underwhelming campaign for the Blues.

After lifting the Club World Cup last year, Chelsea were tipped to build momentum under Enzo Maresca, but instead endured a disappointing Premier League season that ended with a 10th-place finish.
Both Maresca and his successor, Liam Rosenior, were dismissed from their roles at Stamford Bridge, with Xabi Alonso poised to assume control when July begins.
Cucurella had already indicated his willingness to consider a transfer after drawing attention from Barcelona, Manchester City and Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid, however, moved swiftly to secure the Spanish left-back, handing him a six-year contract and reuniting him with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu.
The defender may not be the only player leaving west London this summer, as Enzo Fernandez is also eager to complete a move away, while several other former teammates continue to be linked with transfers.
According to The Sun, Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto’s future is also ‘far from certain’, with the club reportedly open to selling him.

Since arriving from Lyon for £31m in 2023, Gusto has featured more than 100 times for the Blues, including 49 appearances last season.
The 23-year-old is currently representing France at the World Cup but remained on the bench throughout their opening group-stage clash with Senegal.
Reports suggest Manchester City are not actively pursuing Gusto, yet there is still ‘no guarantee’ he will remain at Chelsea when the new campaign begins.
Should Gusto depart, highly regarded academy product Josh Acheampong, aged 20, could be handed a larger role in the first team.
Several clubs are said to be interested in Acheampong, although Chelsea reportedly view him as one of a handful of ‘untouchable’ players in the squad.
Cucurella opened up about his transfer from Chelsea to Real Madrid ahead of Spain’s World Cup victory against Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
‘If you had asked me a few months ago, I probably would have said I don’t expect to leave Chelsea,’ Cucurella said. ‘I was very happy there and so was my family.
‘It isn’t easy leaving Chelsea. I arrived as a young kid, I dreamed of winning trophies and Chelsea gave me that, but I think the step to go to Real Madrid now is bigger.
‘I have the chance to come back to my country, to one of the best clubs in the world, and I think it is a step I need to make. It is a decision that wasn’t easy, but it is right for me and my family.
‘Madrid came in strongly, which was very important to me. My situation wasn’t easy so having the chance to finalise my transfer before the World Cup started was crucial.
‘When a team like Madrid comes calling, it is very hard to say no. I had no doubts though as it is a huge step in my career.’
Alonso, who previously starred in midfield for both Liverpool and Real Madrid, will officially begin his Chelsea tenure in July after signing a four-year deal.
