Despite that, Opta still rates Arsenal as overwhelming favourites to lift the trophy and end their long wait for a league title, which has stretched beyond two decades.
According to the model, the North London club have an 84.44% chance of finishing top of the table, while City are given an 8.38% probability of claiming first place.
Aston Villa are also considered outsiders in the race, with a 7.09% chance, while Liverpool’s hopes are rated at less than 1%.
With 15 league matches still remaining in the 2025/2026 campaign, there is time for further twists, but the numbers remain firmly in Arsenal’s favour.
